48 booked for rioting in Borsad

VADODARA/ANAND: Forty eight persons have been booked in Borsad town of Anand district after riots broke out in the town following a petty argument on Tuesday night. Police have started efforts to arrest all those responsible.

According to police, riots broke out between members of one community living in Saiyadwadaand Fatehpur areas at Rabari Chakla in Borsad town. The groups got into heated arguments over a dispute of one person being pushed by another at a pan shop in Rabari chakla. Soon supporters from both sides reached Rabari Chakla where they pelted each other with stones for nearly an hour. Many vehicles and shops were damaged in the violence. Read more …
