Tamra (Arabic: طمرة, Hebrew: טַמְרָה or תַמְרָה) is an Israeli Arab city in the North District of Israel located in the Lower Galilee 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) north of the city of Shefa-‘Amr and approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of Akko (Acre). The name Tamra means date palm in Arabic. It is a common city name throughout the Arab world.
