Rafiabad witnesses shutdown, two injured in clashes at Pattan

Baramulla, Feb 06: Various areas of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district witnessed protests against erratic supply of power with Watergam and Dangiwacha witnessing complete shutdown while a police constable was among two people injured in clashes in Pattan on Wednesday.

Early morning people in hundreds assembled at Watergam main chowk in Rafiabad to protest against Power Development Department (PDD) for its failure to ensure scheduled power supply especially in metered areas.
Raising anti-PDD and anti-government slogans, protestors blocked roads hampering vehicular moment for hours together. Read more …
