NADIAD: At least 12 persons were injured when members of two communities clashed in Thasra town of Kheda district on Sunday.
The communities came face to face after a petty quarrel in Hodil chakla area of the town snowballed. Suddenly, groups from both communities armed with sticks and sharp-edged weapons gathered and clashed with each other.
Twelve persons suffered injuries on the head, hands and other body parts. As soon as the news of tension spread, police rushed to the town and deployed a bandobast to prevent escalation and ensure that there are no clashes during Uttarayan. Read more …
