Shutdown in Sopore town against killing of youth; Indian police arrests Geelani

SRINAGAR, (SANA): In Indian Occupied Kashmir, complete strike was observed in Sopore town for the second consecutive day, on Monday, to protest against the killing of a youth, who was martyred by Indian troops on May 5 in Nihalpora area of Pattan; meanwhile the Indian police have arrested APHV Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

All shops, business establishments, schools and colleges are closed while attendance in the government offices is thin. Clashes between protesters and Indian paramilitary troopers were going on till last reports came in. Read more..
