MANILA (Updated 12:15 p.m.) — Television report said one person was killed during a tension at a demolition of makeshift stalls in Parañaque City, Monday morning.

Hundreds of residents fought with court personnel and riot police who tried to knock down illegal makeshift stalls in Silverio compound at Barangay San Isidro on Sucat Avenue.

A television report said about 250 police personnel came to the area to assist the implementation of the court order.
