Des heurts ont opposé vendredi dans une banlieue chiite de Manama les forces de sécurité à des manifestants à l’occasion des obsèques d’un citoyen-journaliste tué selon l’opposition par « des miliciens » du régime, ont rapporté des témoins.
Les heurts ont eu lieu à Salmabad lorsque les forces anti-émeutes ont tenté de bloquer l’accès au lieu où se déroulaient les obsèques de Ahmed Ismaël, 22 ans, tué par balle le 31 mars dans ce village où il filmait une manifestation anti-gouvernementale, selon eux.
Mais des milliers de personnes ont pu assister aux funérailles durant lesquelles la foule a crié « A bas Hamad », en référence au roi Hamad Ben Issa Al-Khalifa, ont rapporté les témoins sans faire état de victime lors des heurts. Lire la suite…
