Angry over alleged thrashing of a fellow employee, the workers of a garment factory in neighbouring Gurgaon went on the rampage torching vehicles and indulging in heavy stone-pelting and clashing with the police on Monday.
The police resorted to lathi-charge to bring the situation under control.
Abhey Rao, DCP (West) Gurgaon, said around 1,000 workers of the factory at Udyog Vihar at Sector 37 clashed with police leaving two cops and around 10 workers injured.

They damaged the official vehicles of an ACP of Gurgaon police along with 20 bikes, two trucks, a Toyota Corolla and vandalised fire tenders. Read more…
