HISAR/ CHANDIGARH: A Jat agitation forOBC status and reservation in government jobs in Hisar turned violent on Wednesday after a youth was allegedly killed in police firing in Mayyar village a day earlier. The agitators set a police outpost on fire and damaged an ATM machine.

Thousands of protesters squatted on a railway track connecting Delhi to Hisar with the body of Sandeep (18), killed when the police lathicharged and fired to disperse the mob. Read more…
