Protest against erratic power supply turn violent, 5 injured

Garoora (Bandipora), Feb 13: At least five persons, including a police officer, were injured when protest against erratic power supply in the area turned violent on Monday.

Witnesses said residents of Garoora and other adjoining areas took to the streets this morning and staged a sit-in on Srinagar-Bandipora road here in north Kashmir. “Protesters stopped an army convoy which led to the clashes in which five persons were injured,” witnesses added.
