Saudi forces open fire on Qatif protesters

At least three protesters have been injured in clashes with Saudi Arabian police forces as Riyadh attempts to extinguish the ongoing popular uprising in the kingdom.
The violence broke out on Friday when Saudi security forces opened fire demonstrators in the town of Qatif.
Activists said snipers on roof-tops targeted the demonstrators in the restive Eastern Province.
Similar protest rallies were also held in several towns and villages in the oil-rich province, where demonstrators called for freedom and equality. Read more…
