VIVAnews – A Syiah mosque and several houses were burnt down in Nangkernang, Karang Gayam village, Omben district, Sampang, Madura, by people who claimed themselves as members of Sunni group on Thursday, Dec 29.
“People are still furious. The situation is not yet back to normal,” said Chief of East Java Police Public Relations, Comm. Rahmad Mulyana toVIVAnews.
Mulyana said that police are still holding talks with the people who committed the arson. “We are asking them not to continue their action,” he said. Read more…
