Occupy protesters evicted in Downtown Fresno; 13 arrested

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested more than a dozen occupy Fresno protestors just hours ago.

The protesters refused to leave Courthouse Park in Downtown Fresno when deputies in riot gear showed up to enforce an eviction notice issued this past week. Theirpermit to assemble expired November 1st and the group decided not to renew it.

Early Sunday morning deputies told the demonstrators they had to take down their tents and leave the area. But after hours of discussion, deputies arrested 13 of the protestors who still refused to go. Read more…
