Hyderabad: Telangana protestors clash with police, detained

Hyderabad: In the continuing Telangana protests, clashes broke out between protestors and police in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Police detained three TRS workers for disrupting traffic.

TRS MLA KT Rama Rao appealed to the Centre to intervene in the issue immediately. « The state government is trying to press the democratic struggle. We request the Union government to intervene immediately and appeal to the Prime Minister and the Congress President to please come forward before things go out of hand, » Rama Rao said.

Pro-Telangana protestors, as part of the ‘raasta roko’ program on the 16th day of the ongoing agitation, have blocked traffic at several locations across Hyderabad.

Led by Rama Rao, supporters raised pro-Telangana slogans disrupting traffic across the city. Read more…
