Curfew imposed in Moradabad

Curfew has been imposed in six police station areas of Moradabad to control the communal violence that sparked off on Tuesday night, leading to arson and firing by members of two communities.

Over nine shops and several vehicles were torched in the violence and 22 persons were injured in the clash. One of the critically injured victim has been referred to the Loknayak Hospital in Delhi.

Special DGP (Law & Order) Brij Lal said no incident of violence has been reported from the affected parts of the district since afternoon. Read more…
