Meanwhile, over 1500 activists of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) took out protest rally in Samba district in support of the demand for establishment of the CUJ immediately. Raising anti-government slogans, activists demanded immediate appointment of VC of the Central University and threatened of intensification agitation. Jammu Bar Association (JBA) today went on one day strike and also held demonstration at the high court complex in support of the demand for making CUJ functional with immediate effect. Led by Bar president B S Salathia, lawyers sat on dharna in the complex. « Situation would turn bad if the government failed to appoint VC and make University functional immediately. Jammu will not tolerate discrimination at all now, » Salathia told reporters here.
