People in the city once again took to the streets and vehemently protested against prolonged power breakdowns on Monday as amid worsening power situation in the metropolis the KESC management persisted with their stance that operations and fault rectification works of the utility had been seriously compromised, along with security of its personnel, due to an ongoing protest drive by the CBA-led workers of the power utility.

People of Hijrat Colony near Sultanabad, on facing hours-long power breakdown since 9 am Monday, first took to streets, protested and blocked Moulvi Tameezuddin Khan Road and then blocked Mai Kolachi Road after Maghrib prayers.
