SANA’A, April 18 (Saba)- At least 14 soldiers were injured in riots by thousands of demonstrators as they were in an illegal march of the opposition Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) in Sana’a on Sunday, a security source has said.
Speaking to Saba, the source confirmed that the march was accompanied by riots and chaos, indicating that the demonstrators attacked a number of shops, including the commercial Libyan center and a restaurant at the Algeria Str.
The security forces tried to persuade the marchers to return to their protest square at the Sana’a University. The source accused the demonstrators of attacking the security forces, wounding 14 soldiers.
