KAUNAS, Lithuania — Visiting Poland fans clashed with Lithuanian security forces as the home side beat the Euro 2012 co-hosts 2-0 in a friendly.
Around 200 travelling Poles on Friday hurled fireworks, stones and bottles at police in the streets around Kaunas’s stadium, ahead of and during the match between the two neighbours, the Lithuanian news agency Delfi reported.

A dozen fans were arrested, and one security officer was reportedly taken to hospital with stab wounds.
Earlier, police had discovered masks, baseball bats and other potential weapons during spot checks on Polish-registered cars travelling to Kaunas. Read more…
