Another victim, 32-year-old Ram Kumar Sahu, was found dead in a drain in Mohanlalganj area on Monday. Police said he fell into the drain after getting drunk on Sunday evening.
A five-year-old girl Sania succumbed to her injury on Monday at the Trauma Centre. She had fallen into a ditch while playing Holi, said doctors.
A number of cases of fire arms injuries suffered in Holi clashes were also brought at the Trauma Centre on Sunday and Monday. Nine of them are critical, having injuries in the abdomen, chest and head.
Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Hospital also received people injured in drunken driving and Holi clashes. A total of 334 cases were attended to in the Emergency ward, of which 32 were admitted. As many as 111 of these were road accident cases, and at least eight of burns cases, said Dr EU Siddiqui, chief medical superintendent.

LUCKNOW: Over half-a-dozen persons including four policemen were injured after members of two communities resorted to stone-pelting and arson inMahona town area under Itaunja police station on Sunday. The police arrested two persons in this connection on Monday.
The mob set afire several shops and vehicles resulting in loss of property worth lakhs of rupees.
Trouble began when Holi revellers led by Bhola Verma, a corporator from ward number 10, Munna Gupta and Vikki along with others entered into a heated argument with members of other community who were led by Akeel Khan, Kapil, Kaleem and others.
Soon the argument turned ugly and both the groups resorted to heavy brick-batting. On receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot. But the mob hurled stones on the police party which led to serious injuries to at least four policemen including a sub-inspector. The injured policemen were identified as S-I Uma Shanker Singh, constable Khalil Ahmed, Shashi Pal Singh and a homeguard Vishwanath. The injured policemen were rushed to a nearby hospital. read more…
3 cops hurt as mob clash during Holi Procession

Three policemen including Sub-Inspector Umesh Shankar Sharma were injured when two groups clashed during a Holi procession in Lucknow’s Itaunja police station area on Sunday afternoon. The two other police personnel who were injured during the clash were Head Constable Vishwanath and Constable Sheesh Pal Singh.
The large groups which indulged in violence set on fire three vehicles and four roadside stalls. Teams from other police stations and PAC were rushed to the spot of violence to disperse the mobs and fire tenders were pressed into the service to douse the flames.
According to Station Officer, Itaunja, Shashi Kumar Pandey, clashes broke out when some members of the procession chanted some slogans that hurt the sentiments of the bystanders. read more…
