Clashes reported in Jerusalem refugee camp

Jerusalem – Ma’an – Clashes were reported in East Jerusalem’s Shu’fat refugee camp on Tuesday, with one Israeli officer sustaining injuries, witnesses said.

Witnesses said Israeli police deployed rubber bullets and tear-gas against a group of young Palestinians involved in the clashes, and said no other injuries were reported.

Israeli police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said he was not immediately familiar with any incident in the Jerusalem refugee camp, but would look into the report.
