KARACHI: The city witnessed riots in different areas on Thursday as citizens protested against the KESC for unannounced electricity load shedding. Residents and shopkeepers in various areas including PIDC locality, Nazimabad Bara Board, Abul Hassan Ispahani Road and Liaquatabad, enraged by frequent power outages, protested by burning tyres on roads. The roads leading to Sohrab Goth from Abul Hassan Isphani road and that from Nazimabad Bara Board to Nazimabad Bridge were blocked for traffic for several hours. staff report
