Riots in Karachi after two ANP guards attacked

KARACHI: Two watchmen affiliated with the Awami National Party (ANP) were wounded in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, while several rioters torched at least half a dozen vehicles on Wednesday. It is believed that tensions escalated after unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on the two watchmen – Shireen Khan and Saeed Khan – guarding a residential apartment in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area in Shahrah-e-Faisal police station precints. In the aftermath of this incident, a number of unidentified people came out on the roads and damaged many passing vehicles by throwing stones at them. faraz khan
